Ginger and Pepper, I think someone in the family had a spice fetish |
The caption on the back of this tree reads, "The troll is Noah and the
tree is fake." I am not sure if it was the first time we had a fake tree. |

Robin moved to Macedonia,
Illinois, a small town near Benton. My
sister Sharon and her fiancé Al, were drive down to St. Louis and agreed
to drop me off at the Springfield Greyhound bus
station. There I caught a bus to Benton. It was a fun trip and my first
bus ride that went further than Joliet to Wilmington. While I was at
Robin's I learned how to ride a motorcycle and how to hitchhike. |

Every child should have a dog
like Queenie. She was simply my dog and was extremely faithful. She would
follow me every where I went. Friday nights Robin and I would go to the
stock car races to root on Lee Shuler in #66. One Friday I rode my bike to
Robin's house. No biggie, she lived only a couple of miles down the road.
After the races Robin's dad dropped me off at home. We spent the rest of
the weekend searching for Queenie. Finally on Sunday Robin called to tell
me that Queenie was at her house. They had tried to get her and my bike
into the car to bring them both home but Queenie would not budge. She was
waiting for me to return. I am not sure how long she would have waited. |

Robin came up to visit with her new boyfriend (soon to be husband #1)
pregnant with her first daughter. We posed for this parting shot that in a
way signified the chasm in our friendship |
Robin and Frank. I didn't really like Frank and was never sure exactly
what she saw in him. |
