Southern Illinois 99'

In the summer of 1999 Anthony and I took a trip and wandered the southern portion of the beutiful state of Illinois. The photos aren't the greatest. This was before I bought my 35 MM and my digital cameras. I was using those disposable Kodak cameras that you buy at Walgreens. A couple of the photos are scanned post cards and one is borrowed from a website.

We began the trip with a few days on Linda and Bill's houseboat on Lake Shelbyville.

This is a natural bridge that we found. I am not sure where though. I do remember seeing a sign for a natural bridge and then following miles and miles of dusty roads. Then we had to hike a mile on a web ladden trail through the forest. It was worth it.  NatBridge2.jpg (60160 bytes) NatBridge.jpg (51062 bytes)
