east over the brick pathway that is lined with the ornamental grasses on
one side and Hostas on the other. |
Same
pathway but looking west. |
Corner
of the side drive looking east toward the tree line and the creek. |

Lilies and the tree on the west south corner of the house. |

creek. |
The
front door and the upper drive. |
Looking
southwest from the side drive and up those steps that lead no where. |
Looking
east-northeast through the main garden and toward the decks. |
This is
taken looking east through the main garden. |

north over the main garden from the west side of the house. |
More of
the main garden. |
Looking
south of the main garden with the west side of the house on the left. |
The
steps that lead up to the main garden through the arched Clematis trellis. |
The
large iron metal ornament on the left is actually a sprinkler. |

| This is
almost identical to the last shot. |
This is
my favorite photo from this year. Linda must have liked it also because
she had it enlarged and has it hanging in her bedroom. |
The main
garden and the bench. About dead center in this picture, hidden in the
shadows is my bedroom window. |
A closer
photo of the bench, the sprinkler and the bird house welcome sign. |
More of
the main garden. Some day I hope to actually have some names of the
flowers listed on this page. |

Another
westward shot. |
The rose
pergola. |
The
steps leading up to the lower deck. |
A very
nice shot of the shade garden, the potting shed, and just beyond the shed
the herb garden. |
 |
 |
 |
| A
straight on look at the potting shed. |
The
clematis in this photo is one that mom had growing beside her garage in
Wilmington. When my ex-husband would mow the yard she would always remind
him not to mow it down. Most the time he forgot.. When mom and dad passed
away I moved it to my home in Manhattan. When I divorced and moved to
Plainfield I uprooted it once again and it has been happily growing in
this spot ever since. |
This
shot is taken looking north over the shade garden. Notice the lamp hanging
from the tree? That is just one of those garden variety (pardon the pun)
hanging lamps that were so popular in the 60's. At night they remind me of
fairy lights hanging in the garden. |
